About the Item

Tsukroi is designed by Kazuyo Komoda and manufactured for Hands on Design by Maruyoshi Kosaka, a workshop in Japan specialized in Urushi laquer, a fine natural laquer, traditionally used in the country. Each piece is hand painted and is inspired by ‘kintsugi’, a Japanese technique to repair ceramic objects involving the use of liquid gold or silver to weld the broken fragments together, each repaired product has a different twine of golden lines, unique because of the casualty with which the material can crumble. This plate can be used to serve or present food but also to decorate a particular corner of your house, it's perfect also for a gift!
