"Rockefeller Pattern" / Chinese Export Famille Rose Mandarin-Pattern punch pot (or large tea pot) and cover. Qianlong Period (1736-1795), the vessel finely enameled to each side with a large circular cartouche depicting an elderly sage seated by a table being brought a drink by an attendant and a boy in an interior, the large circular window revealing two further figures and a pet deer on a terrace in a riverscape, all reserved on a gilt scrolling foliage ground with gilt handle spout and finial. China, 18th century
