18th century Italian pottery fountain presumably for an apothecary. Liguria white star mark. Splendid mascaron spout to frighten away evil spirits. Lionesque faced handles. Panels of figures & animals in naturalized bands. "A. Indiuie" indicates the contents. Provenance: Christie's, Paris 6/19/2018, lot 57. Dallas dealer, 1st Dibs, sold $4,600. NYC & NC collector.
