A fine pair of antique figural porcelain sweetmeat dishes or footed bowls. By Samson. Each having the form of a white scallop shell set atop column of polychrome shells and green seaweed and a shaped foot. Mimicking the style of Worcester porcelain from the Georgian period. Simply a great pair of sweetmeats bowls! Date: 19th century Overall condition: They are in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is a chip to the tip of one shell, a chip to the base of one tazza, some other small flakes and fritting to the seaweed and shells, light high point and edge wear, some fine and light glaze and surface scratches, and other signs of wear consistent with age.
