About the Item

An exuberant pair of English Asian influenced Ironstone bowls hand decorated with green, rose, orange and blue garbed figures in perimeter cartouches, 2 with parasols, further decorated with flowers, trees and plants, all on a gilt-decorated green field. Marked on reverse with the English coat of arms and stamped "Ironstone China" numbered 3923, embossed real ironstone china. A good example of high style Victorian design with a Japanese influence so popular in the latter part of the nineteenth century.
