Saucer in Chinese Porcelain for Export, Qing Dynasty

About the Item

Saucer, in Chinese porcelain for export. Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period (1736-1795). Polychrome and gilded decoration, with flowers. Decorated with a floral composition, where red and yellow peonies stand out on a white enamel background. Slender bouquets and small pink flowers add a sense of lightness and naturalness to the decor. The border is highlighted by a border with geometric and floral motifs, painted in shades of green, red and gold, highlighting the meticulous technique of Chinese artisans. The back of the tray is decorated with flowers and leaves in shades of red and its aesthetics reflect the influence of the Eastern artistic tradition, combined with the Western taste of the time, being a classic example of Qing export porcelain, which combined technical excellence with decorative beauty.
