19th Century Olive Oil Jar from Provence

About the Item

A wonderful antique oil jar, dating from the 19th century, and originating from the South of France. Traditionally shaped, with a short pouring spout and two large side handles, this shapely vessel has been coated with a gorgeous green and brown glaze, which has aged beautifully over the centuries, its chips, scuffs and indentations telling the fascinating story of its long and valued life in a Provençal home.
