William Moorcroft Rare Claremont Mushroom Design Art Pottery Jug Dated 1914

About the Item

A rare William Moorcroft Claremont pattern jug of tall conical shape with a moulded handle and funnel shaped top with large pouring spout. The jug is hand decorated with tubelined mushrooms in streaked blue, red and yellow glazes on a green ground. Probably retailed by Liberty & Co the vase has a green signature and impressed MOORCROFT BURSLEM along with a painted date mark 1914. The jug is offered in excellent original condition.
