About the Item

A very good antique Imperial Russian silver-gilt cloisonne enamel kovsh, Moscow, circa 1908. The kovsh of traditional shape with all over muti-color cloisonne enamel decoration, the kovsh having both floral & geometric cloisonne decoration to the bowl, handle and spout. The interior of the bowl with a gold wash and the kovsh is raised on a flared foot. Stamped with a kokoshnik mark for Moscow and the maker's stamp in cyrillic, silver weight is 55 grams. Condition is very good. Provenance; from a larger collection of Russian silver in the same family of Russian heritage since the early 1900's.
