Created in Provence during the reign of Emperor Napoléon III, this hors d'œuvres (appetizers) platter charms us with its nicely scalloped edges accented with a warm orange glaze complimenting the green tones beautifully. Marked "Poterie Provençale Salernes - Var" on the underside, this Southern French 1850s green glazed dish will bring a touch of simple authenticity to any kitchen or dining room.
