An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian Irish sterling silver Hanoverian pattern hash spoon; an addition to our silver flatware collection. This exceptional antique George II Irish sterling silver spoon has been crafted in the Hanoverian pattern. The posterior surface of the Georgian silver spoon handle terminal is embellished with the contemporary engraved crest. The reverse of this impressive example of antique silverware features a plain rounded heel to the bowl. The anterior surface of this antique silver spoon bears a pip to the handle terminal. Such Irish examples from this period and in this exceptional condition are becoming increasingly difficult to locate; this piece is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire. Condition This antique Georgian silver spoon is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional almost unused condition. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of the handle stem of this antique spoon are very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this Georgian spoon. A very good large silver swing handle basket of pierced oval form. The arched swing handle with two cast female busts arising from a leaf capped double C-scroll support.
