An exceptional, fine and impressive set of four antique Victorian sterling silver Queens pattern gravy spoons; an addition to our silver flatware collection. This exceptional set of antique sterling silver spoons has been crafted in the desirable Queen's pattern. The anterior and posterior surfaces of each handle is embellished with the classic Queen's pattern ornamentation, includes a convex shell design to either side of the terminal, in addition to the honeysuckle and rosette design*. The anterior surface of the handle terminals are ornamented with the contemporary bright cut engraved crests of a hawk with wings extended. Each Victorian gravy spoon has an impressive anthemion/honeysuckle heel to the reverse of the bowl. This exceptional set of gravy spoons, crafted by the renowned female silversmith Mary Chawner, is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire. These silver gravy spoons offer a refined gift for weddings, anniversaries or housewarmings. Ideal for antique flatware collectors or those enhancing a formal silver service, they combine practical utility with timeless sophistication. * This pattern is most commonly acknowledged/referred to as Queen's pattern, however in the Chawner & Co. Pattern Book bears the name 'Rosette'. Condition These antique silver gravy spoons in Queens pattern are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The pattern ornamentation is all very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each handle are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of Victorian silver cutlery. An exceptional, fine and impressive set of six antique George IV English sterling silver Fiddle pattern tradesman spoons; an addition to our silver flatware collection These exceptional and rare antique George IV English sterling silver tradesman/sample spoons* have been crafted in the Fiddle pattern. The anterior surface of each spoon handle terminal incorporates the contemporary engraved initial 'MAG'. The reverse of each 19th century spoon has a rounded heel and to a pip to the handle terminal. By virtue of their size these versatile silver spoons could be used for a multitude of functions, including: pickle, mustard/condiment, small coffee spoon. These exceptional and collectable spoons were crafted by the renowned London silversmith William Eaton. NOTE: * Such a spoon would have been carried by a tradesman as a sample size, demonstrating at a small scale the pattern and quality of spoon available for production by the workshop. Condition These antique silver tradesman spoons are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
