Early 19th century sterling silver puffed pillow like vinaigrette by Thomas Shaw Birmingham England Silvermaker. Thomas Shaw renowned maker of vinaigrettes and snuff boxes worked in Birmingham England between 1818 and 1845. Vinaigrette jewelry was worn by ladies during the Victorian era to mask unpleasant odors in their environment. The puff pillow design and a grill engraved with flowers makes this a beautiful piece. Purchased by a private collector who traveled the world buying beautiful pieces.
