A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver sugar caster, an addition to our silver teaware collection. This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar caster has a baluster form onto a circular domed spreading foot. The upper and lower portions of this piece are embellished with embossed and chased bead and scroll decoration accenting concave bordered, fluted decoration all in a spiral design. The sugar caster retains the original hallmarked screw fit cover, embellished with pierced decoration incorporating chased and embossed bead and scroll decoration, the screw fit attachment indicates the fine quality of this piece. The cover is further ornamented with a gadroon decorated border to the rim and is surmounted by a fine and impressive scroll decorated shaped baluster style finial. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver Chamberstick (chamber candlestick) has a plain circular form in the George I style. The well is plain and unembellished, encompassed with a plain elevated border. The plain cylindrical capital retains the original detachable hallmarked sconce ornamented with a plain applied moulded border. This antique chamberstick is fitted with a stylized Trefid pattern handle, embellished with two contemporary bright cut engraved crests of a squirrel sejant eating a nut to the right of an elephant and castle.
