Fountain pen, Ballpoint pen & Tray for Desk Set enamel Sterling Silver Salimbeni
About the Item
Rectangular tray with rounded corners in 925/1000 sterling silver with hand-painted fired enamel like turquoise stone, cm. 9.5 x 18. For fountain pen (4577-5210) with 18 carat gold nib and ink cartridge and for ballpoint pen (4563-5193) with Sheaffer refill or similar. Measurement of each pen diameter mm. 10.5, total length cm. 14. Total silver weight gr. 246. Designed by Giorgio Salimbeni in 1974 and produced in numerous examples of different enamel colors at the Salimbeni company headquarters with workmanship by skilled craftsmen, with very thick slabs and large reinforcements suitable for supporting numerous high-fire enamelling firings at around 750 < 800° C.
