Pair of George 111 silver salt cellars,Thomas Sharratt, London,1784 On quite tall hoof feet with crisp rope edge and bristol blue liners. These salts are hallmarked in 1784 which was the first year that the kings head Was added as an extra mark because duty was introduced that year. The kings head was in a retangular border with cut off edges for just 1784 and 1785, after that an oval edge.
