Pair of Onslow Pattern Geo 111 Silver Stuffing Spoons 1762 William Withers
The Onslow scroll was first designed by Arthur Onslow (1691-1768), the Great Speaker of Parliament.
The onslow part of the spoon is cast , the rest is forged.
The two parts are joined together with a scarf joint.
Genuine Onslow pattern is extremely rare and the true period in time is from 1760's to 1780's.
