An exceptional and rare antique silver snuffbox reading 'PRESENTED TO St. Mr. P CAMPION, 1st Bn 19th Foot, by His, BROTHER SERJEANTS, As A Mark of Their, Sincere Regard.' in its original shaped fitted case and made by Cronin & Wheeler, Birmingham in 1847. The snuff box, probably unused, is simply stunning the cartouche shaped body engraved with rococo 'C' scrolls, engine turning and floral sprays with a hinged cover and richly gilded interior. The box has clear and crisp silver assay and makers marks to the cover and base and has date marks for 1847. Provenance: The property of a gentleman. Sergeant Major Patrick Campion was enlisted with the 19th Foot in 1838 and served in Malta, the Ionian Islands, the West Indies, Canada, the Crimea and India amongst other postings. He received a DCM at the Battle of Alma ‘for his gallant rescue, in company with a couple of his comrades, of a wounded officer of his own company, who was lying in front of the Russian line’s.’ and despite being injured in this act, he recovered and would see action at Inkerman, Redan and the siege of Sevastopol. Each piece has a pear shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The pieces of this Victorian tea and coffee set are embellished with embossed panels in a swirl design, accented with bright cut engraved segmented quatrefoil leaf motifs on a textured background. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver egg cruet set consists of five egg cups displayed on the original stand with a central carrying handle. The original hallmarked egg cups have a bell-shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. These antique silver egg cups are embellished with pierced decorated interlacing scrolling designs, accented with an applied bead decorated border to the upper rim of each vessel. The decoration to the body of each cup incorporates two cast silver lion mask designs, each grasping a ring loop handle in the mouth. A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver wine/water jug - boxed; an addition to our diverse wine and drinks related collection This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver jug has a bulbous rounded knopped form onto a circular domed foot. The swept neck of the jug is embellished with chased decoration to either side of a convex ribbed knop. The lower portion of the neck is encompassed with a band of stylised foliate designs, surmounting a strapwork style border incorporating foliate, applied bead and figural mask ornamentation. The body of this impressive claret jug is further ornamented with chased elongated quatrefoil designs, alternating with applied bead bordered cartouches. The flared upper rim to the lip of the jug is embellished with an applied moulded decorated border. This impressive 19th century jug in sterling silver is fitted with an exceptional cast silver elongated scrolling handle with a scrolling leaf decorated thumbpiece accented with an emanating bead decorated handpiece, in addition to a rosette design to the lower terminal. The vessel is supported by a bead decorated knop to a circular domed foot, ornamented with further chased foliate decoration, on a matte background. The interior of the jug retains the original gilding. This magnificent wine jug is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box, with a satin and velvet lined interior. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver communion set; an addition to our diverse religious silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian cast sterling silver communion set consists of a chalice, paten and wine phial/flask. The chalice has a circular baluster form onto a knopped pedestal and spreading foot. The surface of the antique chalice is ornamented with impressive embossed quatrefoil cartouches bearing contemporary engraved initials 'IHS'*. The surface of the drinking vessel is further embellished with impressive flat engraved decoration, emanating from the protruding cartouches, in addition to encircling the upper rim below a plain moulded border. The knops to the panelled pedestal are encompassed with bead decoration. The circular foot of this exceptional chalice is encircled with flat engraved arched geometric designs. The paten has a circular-shaped form to a plain circular foot. The raised border of the paten is embellished with impressive flat engraved decoration, reflecting that of the upper portion of the chalice. The shaped rim is encompassed with a plain applied decorated border. The well of the paten is ornamented with a fine and impressive contemporary engraved initials 'IHS' to the centre. A display round tray designed by Tiffany & Co. Beautiful antique three footed round display tray, created in New York city for Tiffany & Co. between the 1858-1859. This tray certainly is one of the first pieces made at the 550 Broadway avenue in solid .925/1000 sterling silver. It was made up with American classic patterns and mount in three elaborated legs. As with all Tiffany pieces, the quality and design are beyond compare. Exceptional and rare example of Tiffany's finest work. Weight: 175.85 Grams (112.72 Dwt). Measurements: Diameter of 146.05 mm and a height of 24.2 mm (5.75 x 0.95 inches). Hallmarks: Stamped twice with the maker's mark, the gothic letter "M" associated to J.C. Moore & Sons (1854-1869), the model number 867, the order numbers 9008 and signed in full. "TIFFANY & CO. M 867 ENGLISH STERLING 925/1000 M 9008 550 BROADWAY". In addition is engraved with the inventory numbers 441. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot with glass liner; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a cylindrical form with a plain circular spreading foot. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced decorated conjoined scrolling designs, accented with four chased decorated masks anchoring pensile drop fruiting arrangements. The upper and lower rims of this mustard pot are ornamented with applied, moulded thread decorated borders. This fine Victorian silver mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged cover surmounted with an impressive cast silver finial and leaf decorated thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is encircled with further chased decorated fruiting arrangements on a matte background, and incorporates a scroll bordered vacant shaped cartouche to either side. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an impressive cast opposing scrolling handle. The mustard pot is fitted with the original removable clear frosted glass liner. The cover retains the original gilding to the interior.
