About the Item

From the Barrettoni già Antonibon pottery in Nove, Northern Italy, a Mid-Century Modern Era earthenware fish service consisting of a large serving platter and six individual plates. Each piece is formed as a fish with dimensional mold work of detailed scales, and protruding fins and a tail. Olive green, yellow ochre, black and cream coloring is offset by the bright blue eye of each fish, circa 1950s. Hand signed on the verso – Italy and a mold number, 236. Platter: 16.5 in. L x 12.5 in. W x 1 in. H Plates: 10.25 in. L x 8 in. W x 1 in.H The expected very light wear one expects of soft faïence.
