An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage sterling silver Plain Pine pattern flatware service for twelve persons, in the Art Deco style; an addition to our canteen of cutlery collection. The pieces of this exceptional vintage George VI silver flatware service for 12 persons have been crafted in the Plain Pine pattern. The plain tapering handle of each piece is embellished with Art Deco style geometric panelled decoration with a stepped-down top. The posterior surface of each handle is ornamented with a triangular panel to the terminal. The original sterling silver forks have three tines/prongs; this is a fine feature of the service. This vintage Art Deco flatware set consists of 43 pieces: The components of this service have been crafted by the Sheffield silversmith and flatware maker Ollivant & Botsford Ltd between 1937-1941; the pieces will have been crafted in less years but due to the hallmarking system the items are struck with the date letters u and y. The pieces of this exceptional, antique George V straight sterling silver flatware service for six persons have been crafted in the Old English pattern. The anterior surface of each fork handle and the reverse surface of each spoon handle features a pip to the terminal. Each spoon, including the sauce ladle, bears a plain rounded heel to the reverse of the bowl. This antique silver cutlery canteen consists of 55 pieces: Basic service: Six table knives. Six table forks. Six table spoons. Six soup spoons. Six dessert knives. Six dessert forks. Six dessert spoons. Six teaspoons. Six coffee spoons. Additional pieces: Sauce ladle. The components of this magnificent set have been realistically modelled in the form of squirrels eating nuts. Each substantial piece is ornamented with details reproducing the squirrel's fur and anatomical features. The jug is fitted with a hinged cover, surmounted with an impressive cast and applied finial realistically modelled in the form of a fly. A very good vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver caddy spoon modelled in the form of a jockey cap; an addition to our diverse teaware collection. This vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver caddy spoon is realistically modelled in the form of a jockey cap; the design is based on an original George III jockey cap style caddy spoon. The outer surface of the cap is encircled with embossed panels of ribbed decoration accented with stylised husk pendant drops. The peak of the cap is embellished with embossed star, bead and octofoil motif decoration on a ribbed background incorporating a vacant shield shaped cartouche. This unusual vintage silver caddy spoon will sit on either the convex or concave side of the bowl. Condition This vintage caddy spoon is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The embossed decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rear of the bowl are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of vintage silverware. A fine and impressive, unusual antique Victorian English sterling silver novelty pepper shaker; an addition to our diverse silverware collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver novelty pepper has a plain ovoid shaped form. The body of the pepper is embellished with impressive chased decoration depicting a cracked egg shell with a boy’s face and hands to the anterior surface and his feet and buttocks to the reverse. The body has pierced 'pepper' holes in a hexagram formation to the upper portion. This pepper retains the original fully hallmarked screw fit weighted base; which when unscrewed provides access to permit the pot to be filled. This novelty pepper is a fine example of its type.
