About the Item

These three table accessories are made of thick glass made by a famous French company part of Holophane France between the 1920’s and 1940’s, making decorative items. The maker was called Verrerie des Andelys and their VA signature is visible in the middle of both wine coasters and the trivet. The glass is circled by silver plated brass. The glass of the trivet is partially frosted, in the frosted part there is has a star cut deep. The glass is transparent around the edge and is decorated with diamond cut. It creates a beautiful contrast between opaque and transparent thick glass. There is a one centimetre chip on the underside. The glass of the wine coasters also show this cut glass in a star shape and has 4 traits in relief. No damage on these two. The silver plate shows losses on all pieces but it’s part of the charm of these collectible pieces.
