About the Item

This exquisite sterling silver three-piece tea set, hallmarked in Sheffield in 1917 by the distinguished Walker & Hall, showcases elegant proportions and fine cut card decoration—a rare and refined technique where shaped appliqués are meticulously soldered to the body for added dimension and ornamentation. The teapot stands 7" (17.5cm) tall, 11" (28cm) from handle to spout, and 6" (15cm) deep, featuring a gracefully shaped spout and a robust, curved handle. The cream jug measures 3.25" (8.5cm) tall, 5.5" (13.5cm) from handle to lip, and 3.75" (9.5cm) deep. The sugar bowl is 4.25" (11cm) tall, 6.5" (16.5cm) wide from handle to handle, and 4.5" (11.5cm) deep. The complete set weighs 38.3 troy ounces. A beautiful example of early 20th-century British silver, this set is perfect for marking a special occasion or as a valuable addition to a fine silver collection. The classical design and rare decorative detail make it an exceptional gift or heirloom piece with timeless appeal.
