Dutch Silver "Melon" tea set by Gerritsen & van Kempen, 1959
Beautiful silver tea set from the "Melon" series made by Gerritsen and van Kempen N.V. Zeist in 1959. Elegant 3-piece silver tea set, raised on four legs with flower and leaf motifs in the "melon shape", the lid with a flower bud on top. The set is entirely Dutch silver hallmarked with the "lion 2" (835/000 purity of silver), The Minerva head with letter B (Assayer's mark and B for the office in Utrecht) The Year letter Z for the Year 1959. The master sign for Gerritsen & van Kempen, Zeist ( mark used from 1926-1961).
The teapot measures 12 cm high, 25 cm wide and the depth is 14 cm.
