French ceramic fish or Shellfish Tureen "Bouillabaisse" by Paulette Bailet at Saint-Jean-du-Desert (Marseille), France, late 1940s. Can be used for various preparations of fish or shellfish with juice or soup. 1 tray 1 bowl 1 drainer and fish warmer 1 lid Hand painted decor. The tureen rests on a base made up of four fish. The side parts are decorated by hand. 4 shell-shaped handles. Lobster-shaped lid handle. Measures: height: 9"(27cm), diameter: 7.6"(36cm). Stamped "SJD Faïencerie d'art de st-jean-du-desert marseille" under the base (see photo) and signed by the artist.
