About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this this exceptionally rare solid mahogany Lion hairy paw feet wine cooler A very good looking well made and totally original piece. It has all the period Regency fixtures and fittings, bronzed handles, Lion Hairy paw feet, the lining is the original It has been lightly restored at some point but not by me, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom leaving the period patina, there is a long timber shrinkage splint along the top, otherwise the condition is excellent. This actually comes from my private collection, I was using it a decorative side table Dimensions: Height 43cm Width 38cm Depth 38cm The box has been cleaned waxed and polished from top to bottom, it has some light scratches in one place on top, a small piece of the carved foot is missing, I can have it replace for a small fee, the whole thing can be French polished and made to look gallery ready, personally it looks perfect as it is This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
