• From totems to animal sculptures and jewelry gems, the art of carving soapstones has been passed down by the master craftsmen in Peru for hundreds of years.
• Soapstone is valued in helping one prepare for change, promoting rational and creative thinking.
• Metaphysically, soapstone is said to balance the digestive system, reducing inflamation on the skin as well.
• As no two stones are the same, each piece will vary from creamy pink to gray to creamy yellow depending on the mineral texture that presents in any given rock. Provenance is from the San Miguel region of Cajamarca, Perú.
