1960's Fredrick Ramond Beach Ball Pendant
About the Item
Large colorful beachball pendant light by Fredrick Ramond of California circa 1963.
Ten bands of colored acrylic secured to an enameled wire scaffold by brass screw caps floating around a satin glass cylinder held by three brass pins, within which is a tubular brass lighting element with a single edison screw socket suspended from a long brass stem and brass canopy cup.
Shown with 10 inch long tubular lightbulb.
The opal glass cylinder is 21 inches high by 5 inches diameter and has three holes drilled for the brass pins which supports the painted wire cage.
Total drop as shown 43 inches. We can shorten to your requirements.
Alternatively you can hang this pendant with chain and swag as needed. (See penultimate image for example)
Last image is of Angelo Lelli's model number 12522 pendant for Arredoluce circa 1960 in perspex and opaline glass which was clearly the inspiration behind this design.

- Condition:Replacements made: Opal glass cylinder was custom made by Greatglas to replace the original. Wear consistent with age and use. Very good. Ready to place. We had to replace one of the 20 brass screw caps that hold the strips of plexi.
