About the Item

One of a kind, large transparent glass tulip pendant lamp in Italian Murano glass by famed maker AV Mazzega, circa 1970s. Handmade piece with ribbons of white art glass that dance across the fluted edges of this substantial, yet delicate piece. The floral form is at once delicate, with a bold, graphic quality from the deep coved top. Original wiring in excellent working condition; recently removed from a wonderful Southern Florida estate. This wonderful pendant looks absolutely gorgeous above a breakfast table, kitchen banquette, above a nightstand or grouped with other Italian glass and Murano pieces. It could be installed in an entry hall or as accent lighting in a butler's pantry or in a stairwell. The combination of translucent and opaque glass are neutral, yet visually interesting in an organic manner.
