About the Item

Markus Haase creates unique sculptural lighting combining hand carved wood, cast bronze, and the latest in LED technology. The circlet pendant features organically shaped rings, cast in polished bronze, hanging delicately from a single point. One ring is set with hand carved onyx diffusing the warm glow of hidden LEDs. With his recent Circlet Series, Haase is quickly growing a reputation as a master jeweler for architectural accessories. Haase hand-carves each ring in foam, creating a unique jewelry like faceted form that is then sand cast in his New York City Studio. Hidden LED lights emit a warm glow through hand carved onyx which line then interior of the ring. The work retains its luminescent quality even when unlit.
