Italian Crystal 8-Light Chandelier w/Carved-Wood Center Column, Mid 20th C.

About the Item

An Italian eight-light wood column style chandelier with crystal adornment from the mid 20th century. This mid-century chandelier from Italy features a decoratively carved central wood column with leaf motif, and a prominent two-tiered splayed crystal waterfall top, which is mimicked by the splay of crystals at bottom finial. Eight graceful s-shaped metal arms stem from the central column, draped and embellished in a lovely display of glass beading and crystals, supporting the round metal bobèches and painted candle sleeves at their tips. The wood column and metal arms have a gold/bronze finish with hints of deep red throughout. This vintage Italian 8-light wood & crystal chandelier has been rewired for the US and comes with a complimentary three-foot chain and canopy painted to match.
