Kai Ruokonen Chandelier in Brass and Blue Acrylic by LYNX
Kai Ruokonen is a Finnish designer who also worked under the artist name ‘Kai Finnmark’. This Chandelier is a big size pendant lamp with blue acrylic parts, suspended by chains, designed by Kai Ruokonen for Hotel Palace Helsinki. Manufactured by LYNX.
The pendant lamp has a chain suspension that is adjustable in height. The shade itself is created from four layers in brass. Between the inner two brass layers, there is an blue, transparent disk attached. This creates an interesting division and contrast with the brass. Due to the different layers, the light is able to radiate through, which creates a beautiful atmospheric effect. Because of the brass and the blue acrylic the light shines in an elegant, warm hue. This wonderful, atmospheric light fits perfectly with the nicely patinated brass. This lamp is adjustable in height.
