Large Antique Ornate French Louis XIV Boulle Style Gilt Bronze Chandelier

About the Item

This very large and substantial cast and gilt bronze eight-arm chandelier was made in France in approximately 1900 in the Louis XIV style. The ornate and very heavy casting is decorated with stylized leaves and scrollwork from the original ceiling cap and chain, to the sides and bottoms of the arms. The base of the chandelier is finished with a large pineapple finial. Please note that this chandelier is substantial, weighing approximately one hundred and fifty pounds, spanning almost three feet across and hangs almost four feet from the ceiling.
