About the Item

This highly elegant Mid-Century Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Glass Ovoid Shaped Treidre Chandelier originates from Italy, Circa 1970. This chandelier features an ovoid composition of triedre glass elements arranged in two tiers. The inner tier adds variation to the diffusion of light and additional density to the piece, while the outer layer creates a gorgeous rhythm of vertical lines and glittering detail throughout. With gently curving outer surfaces, this chandelier has excellent movement and lends itself to versatile placement. This piece is suspended by a satin nickel chain and cylindrical canopy. With a sleek and elegant appearance rendered in the highest quality materials, this fixture is an excellent example of the design characteristics of Mid-Century Modernism, and will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards, this piece accommodates 6 Edison based light bulbs casting up to 600 watts of light, with a height that can be adjusted to suit. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
