Mid-Century Modernist Lantern Chandelier in Brass and Frosted Glass

About the Item

This elegant Mid Century Modern lantern chandelier was realized in Italy, circa 1960. It features a subtly conical shade in opaque white milk glass that is secured at its bottom by a subtly convex polished brass support capped with a cylindrical canopy with a beveled base. Six brass curvilinear supports enshrine the milk glass shade, both protecting it and providing a compelling aesthetic addition. The pendant attaches to a sculptural canopy (also in polished brass) via a chain. With its refined palate and clean modernist lines, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The height can be adjusted to suit.
