Clear / Brown Glass Pendant, Tied-up Romance by Kateřina Handlová for Bomma
By BOMMA
Located in Warsaw, PL
Contemporary mouth-blown crystal glass pendant - Tied-up Romance, Type A by Katerina Handlová for Bomma. BOMMA’s meticulously crafted leather and horsehair surrounding firmly embraces its hand-blown crystal elements. This unconventional romantic bond celebrates a world of contradictions and the permanent essence of glass. The original design of this collection combines two absolutely precise crafts – perfect leather processing and traditional glassmaking. While the object encased in black leather provokes with its strong bondage aesthetic, the natural-brown version at once highlights both the solidity and fragility of glass. Tied-Up Romance transcends the meaning of lighting to yet another level. Design: Katerina Handlová Materials: mouth-blown crystal, leather harness product dimensions (dia): 265 mm product dimensions (h): 480 mm light source: led e27, max. 13 w bulb included: 1x e27, st64 led, 6w, 600lm, 2700k, ra90+ cable length: textile cable 2,5 m Made by hand, in Czech Republic. BOMMA: Founded in 2012, Bomma continually brings the traditional Czech glassmaking craft to new and dynamic levels. With centuries of glassmaking tradition in East Bohemia behind us, we are now advantaged by a rich pool of talent and top-level skills. Instead of simply maintaining these traditions, Bomma moves a step beyond and sets today’s highest standards of glassmaking. Our master craftsmen are backed by some 300 enthusiastic team members in a new and ultra-modern production facility that thrives on in-house technology. Bomma produces 6 tons of refined extra-clear crystal each and every day. Our high-tech bespoke machinery for precise melting and measuring allows our craftsmen reach their maximum potential for manual finishing, enhancing what was always great and making it splendid. Our designed-to- purpose technology lends itself to otherwise unachievable customization and color-blending. Bomma know-how opens its doors to designers, business partners and private clients who continually challenge our technical teams and craftsmen. Bomma emphasis on contemporary design, outstanding glass quality and detail brought them many awards and world-wide recognition in a surprisingly short period of time. We now enjoy an exceptional position in the market, as well as countless interesting projects and collaborations. For this we thank our ancestors, teams and especially our clients. We see our success as an obligation to move ever forward. Join us on this exciting journey. Katerina Handlová Katerina Handlová is a graduate of the Atelier of glass at AAAD Prague (Academy of Arts Prague). She combines glass with different materials such as leather, ropes or porcelain to create objects that mediate her personal experiences as well as her fascination with world of Haute Couture. Katerina finds beauty in quality craftsman-ship which explains her passion for detail. She loves glass...

Clear / Black Glass Pendant, Tied-Up Romance by Kateřina Handlová for Bomma
By BOMMA
Located in Warsaw, PL
Contemporary mouth-blown crystal glass pendant - Tied-up Romance, Type B by Katerina Handlová for Bomma. Design: Katerina Handlová Materials: mouth-blown crystal, leather harness product dimensions (diameter): 265 mm product dimensions (height): 480 mm light source: led e27, max. 13 w bulb included: 1x e27, st64 led, 6w, 600lm, 2700k, ra90+ cable length: textile cable 2,5 m Made by hand, in Czech Republic. Mouth-Blown Crystal Glass Pendant, Shibari by Kateřina Handlová for Bomma
By BOMMA
Located in Warsaw, PL
Contemporary mouth-blown crystal glass pendant - Shibari by Katerina Handlová for Bomma Shibari is not simply the technique of tying objects with ropes, but a method of communication within hidden systems of lines and loops. In Japanese it’s called Kinbaku: the beauty of tight binding. This sophisticated collection places crystal centerpieces amidst the knots to draw our attention and create variable compositions. Thanks to BOMMA’s daring design, Shibari may be considered a work of art, whether as a stand-alone piece or in a grouping that resembles a sculpture.
