BOMMA:
Founded in 2012, Bomma continually brings the traditional Czech glassmaking craft to new and dynamic levels. With centuries of glassmaking tradition in East Bohemia behind us, we are now advantaged by a rich pool of talent and top-level skills. Instead of simply maintaining these traditions, Bomma moves a step beyond and sets today’s highest standards of glassmaking.
Our master craftsmen are backed by some 300 enthusiastic team members in a new and ultra-modern production facility that thrives on in-house technology. Bomma produces 6 tons of refined extra-clear crystal each and every day. Our high-tech bespoke machinery for precise melting and measuring allows our craftsmen reach their maximum potential for manual finishing, enhancing what was always great and making it splendid. Our designed-to- purpose technology lends itself to otherwise unachievable customization and color-blending.
Bomma know-how opens its doors to designers, business partners and private clients who continually challenge our technical teams and craftsmen. Bomma emphasis on contemporary design, outstanding glass quality and detail brought them many awards and world-wide recognition in a surprisingly short period of time. We now enjoy an exceptional position in the market, as well as countless interesting projects and collaborations.
For this we thank our ancestors, teams and especially our clients. We see our success as an obligation to move ever forward. Join us on this exciting journey.

Sculptural Wool and Blown Glass Floor Lamp by Alfhild Külper
Located in New York, NY
"Blue Weed" is a sculptural upholstered floor lamp by Amsterdam-based Swedish artist Alfhild Külper in a pixelated combination of navy, purple, and sky blue. The yarn used is hand-spun and dyed, sourced from the finest producers in India and Nepal. With a combination of traditional tufting techniques and 3D embroidery, the artist transforms this raw material into three-dimensional topographical textile that is then used to form the lamp. A beautiful piece of blown glass, done in collaboration with Norwegian glass artist Anna-Linda Gabriel creates a beautiful glow.
About Alfhild Külper
Swedish artist and designer Alfhild Külper aims to create physical representations of the soft spots in our minds. Using a combination of traditional tufting techniques and 3D embroidery, Külper creates a domestic world of fuzzy furnishings imbued with personal memories and spirituality. A graduate of the prestigious Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, she spent ten years as head of design at the avant garde fashion house Viktor & Rolf. Using a mix of traditional tufting techniques with 3D embroidery, Külper crafts landscapes and figures from leftover wool from the textile industries of India, Nepal and the Netherlands that serve as abstract representations of memory and emotion, typically of feelings of joy. The artist has shown at The Cristel Ballroom Gallery (Amsterdam, the Netherlands), De School...

Kepler K50, Brass and Blown Glass Floor Lamp by Angela Ardisson
Located in Milano, IT
The starting point of Angela Ardisson’s creative process for the new collection is a single and precise shape: the sphere.
The study of its geometric volume and a rational composition of all interlocking elements has guided her towards a very clean design.
No technical or mechanical disturbance interferes with the purity of the shape.
That’s why she decided to avoid welding and went instead for very precise turnings, to assemble all the pieces.
In the creation of the Kepler collection, I had the honor to gather the most skilled Italian artisans using highly advanced cutting technologies (laser-cut and water-jet) but also the more traditional glass hand-blowing and twisting processes.
The only and final supervisor during all work phases was the caliper and all measures were to the tenth.
The glass is hand-twisted with fire and it spreads its warm light right from the heart of the lamp. The polished brass surfaces are filtered by the transparency of the glass layer, with a reciprocal exchange of uninterrupted light reflection effects.
The metal of the Kepler lamps goes through several modification phases, which I personally carried out. She can obtain unique coats and textures reveiling themselves on the shiny brass surface, like in a vintage mirror. The symbol of this collection is “the reflection” and Angela Ardisson is searching for its purest form through her modern alchemical approach.
The K30 and K50 floor models, in spite of the volume and weight of the materials used, are extremely light, both in terms of their visual size and specific weight. These floor lamps will enrich the living areas and relax points in the house with elegant light reflections and a touch of personal elegance.
