About the Item

Mid-Century Modern Table Lamp by Laura Diaz Santillana, 1970s Laura Diaz de Santillana is a designer, classically trained and graduated from the New York School of Visual Arts in 1975-76. After completing her training, Laura De Santillana worked as a graphic designer at the Vignelli Associati studio. In 1976 she returned to Italy where she began collaborating with VENINI and came into contact with many Italian and foreign artists. During this period, which lasted until 1985, Paolo Venini’s granddaughter experimented with many Murano techniques to create finished pieces with unusual colors, among which the mosaic glass plates deserve particular attention. Her works have received multiple awards and recognitions, in addition to being present in the most important museums in the world.
