Pair Palatial Bronze and Steel French Empire Style Torchieres Floor Lamps
About the Item
Pair of palatial vintage torchiere floor lamps in the French empire style, finely crafted from gilt and patinated bronze and steel. Each with a circular shallow dish-form basin fitted with halogen bulb sockets, having a Greek-key and palmette detailed rim, on a fluted socle and conforming panel with nicely cast plumed Roman helmets, above "X" form striated steel rods centering large foliate paterae and ending in lion's paw feet, enclosing a stiff-leaf petaled blossom alternating anthemions, over a conforming leaf-tip trimmed plinth.
