'Queen Helmet Conch Shell' Bamboo Floor Lamp with Vintage French Parasol Shade

About the Item

Model No. 014 is a one-of-a-kind art lamp featuring a vintage rice-paper shade constructed from an exceedingly rare 1919 French parasol advertising a line of cold-water bathing suits. The shade sits atop a lacquered, mahogany brown black bamboo column with stained rattan wrapping and an antique, extra-large, circa-1910 queen helmet conch shell from the artist's private collection. Brass fittings and a cloth-covered cord complete the surrealist profile. One of one. Handmade in New York by artist Christopher Tennant. UL and CUL listed.
