About the Item
This striking and refined pair of modernist sconces were realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They feature volumetric rectangular bodies imbued with an abundance of 24-karat white gold flecks ascending from a cube base in polished nickel. The base attaches to a rectangular back plate in the same Material that affixes directly to the wall. The translucent glass with a wealth of 24-karat white gold is illuminated from below, creating a dramatic effect. With its clean modernist lines and austere Silhouette, this piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. The sconces have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition.
