An impressive and large scale pair of Italian 19th century neoclassical St. giltwood Bras de Lumiere sconces. Each two-arm sconce is centered by a striking richly carved backplate with most decorative foliate designs, scrolled movements at the bottom and top with an elegant seashell reserve. Each elegantly scrolled arm displays beautiful foliate rosettes and are adorned with large finely detailed acanthus leaves, fluted designs, foliate candle cups and their striking frosted glass flames. All original gilt throughout.
