About the Item
Tall ceramic table lamp designed by Marianne Starck for the Danish ceramic workshop Michael Andersen & Søn (MA&S) on the Danish island Bornholm. Made ca 1960s.
The lampbase shows a stylised leaf or flower decor in blue and gray. The glaze has a crackle pattern which is part of its expression. It´s the so-called Persia glaze which was developed at the Michael Andersen & Søn by Daniel Andersen in the 1930s. MA&S won a gold medal for this at the World´s Fair in Brussel in 1935.
Included is a new lampshade designed and made in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and it is off white. It has a top cover so it will spread a cosy light downwards.
The lamp is fully marked on bottom and wears the original MA&S papersticker.
It´s in very good vintage condition.

The lamp is made for Scandinavian outlet. If you use other plugs in your country you can either use an adapter or exchange it with a plug used in your country.
