Large Danish Glass Cascade Table Lamp by Per Lütken for Holmegaard

About the Item

Large very rare Scandinavian Modern Holmegaard table lamp by Per Lütken for Holmegårds Glasværk. This Holmegaard table lamp is called Cascade and made in thick multicolored opaline art glass with colored fluxes that melt during processing and form unpredictable patterns and then covered in crystal glass. Cascade was conceived as a reaction to the "perfect" uniform glass, but was too expensive and cumbersome for large-scale production, so the production of this version was very limited. Condition good US compatible but adapter required for plug. The measurements are to the top of the socket, without lamp shade. The thick handblown glass makes the lamp weigh of 2.9 kg.
