About the Item

A stunning and high quality true pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period ormolu and Vert de Patricia marble statues mounted into lamps. Each lamp is raised by a most uniquely mottled and scalloped patinated bronze and Vert de Patricia base. Above are an intricately detailed man and woman each draped in an impressive lion skin tied around their shoulders, stand on a terrain design with fine leaves. The woman holds a water jug in her hand and balances a woven basket with fresh cut flowers on her right shoulder. The man has a pouch and dagger over his shoulder while leaning on his sword. Wonderful attention to detail throughout.
