Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Celadon Porcelain and Ormolu Lamps

About the Item

A beautiful pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. celadon porcelain and ormolu lamps. Each lamp is raised by an elegant circular ormolu base with fine rosette block feet and wrap around berried laurel and Coeur de Rai designed bands. The beautifully shaped celadon porcelain body displays striking scrolled handles at each side with superb richly chased foliate designs leading to finely detailed cornucopias, additional swaging berried laurel garlands, and a fine wrap around gold tooled band. Above the slender elongated necks are the striking ormolu top caps with charming inverted foliate finials, block rosettes and wrap around berried laurel bands.
