About the Item
A high quality and extremely elegant true pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and celadon porcelain lamps. Each pâte sur pâte lamp is raised by an exceptional ormolu base with block feet, fine rosettes, and lovely foliate designs. Above wrap around beaded bands are the elegantly shaped pâte sur pâte celadon porcelain bodies with beautiful finely detailed foliage at the fronts and luxuriant scrolled foliate designs at the backs. Ormolu arms lead up each side with richly chased acanthus leaves. Excellent patina to both lamps. In excellent working condition.
