Pair of Michael Bang Holmegaard Lamp Art Sculptural Glass Table Lamps Blue 1970s

About the Item

Pair of Mid-century Danish sculptural hand blown glass lamps designed by Michael Bang and made by Holmegaard. They were only in production shortly from 1973-1976. The lamps have a matte blue grey surface with a polished glass ribbon and a hole with blue ring as accent. They come from the series "Lamp Art Asymmetrisk" (Asymmetrical). As the pieces are mouthblown and handmade they are not completely identical. Original Holmegaard paperstickers on bottom. Included is a set of new clip-on bulb lampshades designed and made in Denmark. They are made of woven fabric with some texture and they are off white. They have top covers so they will spread a cosy light downwards. Height including lampshade: 38,5 cm (15.16") (depends on size of bulbs used) Height with socket: 26,3 cm + 26,5 cm (10.35" + 10.43") Height without socket: 19,8 cm + 20 cm (7.80" + 7.87") Width lamp base: ~18 cm (7.09") Depth lamp base: ~13,5 cm (5.31") Diameter of the lampshades: 20 cm (7.87")
