Vintage Chinoiserie Style Olive Green, White Rare Pierced Monumental Table Lamp
About the Item
The olive green color and the beautiful Chinoiserie design where East meets Western style are just the beginning for this lamp. It is reminiscent of the Los Angeles former luxury lamp producer Marbro, in its size and scale, but it is not marked.
This collectible lamp is topped with the original finial and lampshade, which is pictured. It is designed with pierced overlaid olive green and white glaze, probably from the mid 20th century.
Of circular section and cylindrical form, topped with a flaring cuff-form collar and tree decoration on a banded lower border and molded foot, the body and collar with a pierced ground in a stylized geometrical pattern. The original cylindrical cream-fabric shade and brass finial are in good condition and ready for installation. This lamp is truly monumental at 41 inches and in style.
