Extraordinary Fine Period Georgian Bullseye Convex Mirror
About the Item
An exceptional Antique Gilt Wood Bullseye Mirror with fine traditional form having a Well Carved Eagle Crest with outspread wings and holding a chain with a gilt ball tassel mounted on a Laurel Leaf Column, Wood-Twist Candle holding arms with fluted brass candle cups, carved Laurel Leaf base surmounting a Pineapple carving and the original Convex Mirror with a Fluted Wood surround.
The Mirror measures 39” high by 23” wide by 8.5” deep.
Condition: The overall condition is good with some age-related wear including gilt loss to several of the interior surrounding balls and some stable age cracks to the interior dark wood fluted surround which do not detract from the very fine Period Georgian presentation.
