This is a large oval antique overmantle mirror. An English, gilt gesso lounge or hall mirror, dating to the Georgian period and later, circa 1800.

Charming, later glass plate with minimal foxing and of bright, reflective quality
Classical Italianate taste with prominent surmount and grape motif to the deep frame
